Focusing is a methodology developed by Eugene Gendlin. Eugene Gendlin worked closely with Carl Rogers and found through his research on investigating what makes therapy successful for some, that those clients who were somehow closer to their inner experience were more likely to experience successful outcomes.
Focusing as a specific method looks at a way of listening to the `felt sense’ that emerges in the body-mind and developing an inner relationship from a place of Presence.
Fiona Parr offers the Focusing Level 1 & 2 in India on a regular basis and has been coming for the past three years to teach Focusing. She is a Focusing Coordinator and mentor recognized by the British Focusing Association (BFA).
The Focusing Levels 1 & 2 workshops can be done by anyone. It also serves as a base to Skills Training Certification consisting of 5 levels and as a necessary step towards becoming a Focusing Practitioner
The Focusing Levels 1 & 2 workshops look at developing the basic skills of developing focusing partnerships where one can engage in an inner focusing process and be a companion to another’s process.

Fiona is a BFA recognised Mentor, a Focusing Institute Coordinator and a qualified teacher of adults (PGCE).
Fiona Parr is a Focusing therapist based in the UK. She teaches aspects of the Focusing methodology in the first year as well as Thinking at the Edge as a process to contemplative inquiry in formulating a phenomenological approach to research in the second year.
