Mindful Presence for Collective Healing
Recent incidents of rape and violence have sparked strong emotions, highlighting deep-seated issues of gender-based violence and systemic inequality. In such times, having spaces of safety in human connection offer the possibility of corrective experiences and support us in coming back to our own groundedness, individually and collectively.
Just Being Center for Mindfulness and Presence is dedicated to providing support in such times where application of mindfulness and Presence can serve as a strong foundation for the community.
Each offering is designed to foster healing, dialogue, and collective action, recognizing that addressing such issues requires both individual and communal efforts.
Aimed at providing a safe & supportive space for women to express their emotions and for men to bear witness to them. Such spaces may build more sensitivity and open up to deeper transformation of the underlying narratives that we all hold.
A space for men to also speak about how they are impacted and their experiences and for women to bear witness.
For women who have experienced sexual violence and are deeply impacted by recent incidents, we are offering a series of four therapeutic sessions to process trauma and emotional triggers,. This group space will be held online and will be led by Aditi Boratkar, RCI certified Clinical Psychologist and Psychotherapist.
